Greek Première with the Athens State Orchestra
and the Greek Kodály Conservatory's choirs
The Athens State Orchestra conducted by Byron Fidetzis,
the Hungarian tenor Tibor Szappanos
and the Ωδείο Κόνταλυ - Kodály Conservatory (Greece) Choirs
performed for the first time in Greece, the monumental oratorio PSALMUS HUNGARICUS of Zoltán Kodály as well as his Peacock variations at the concert of Friday 28th of March 2014, at 20:30 at the "Ch. Lambrakis" hall of the Megaron, Athens Concert Hall.
The concert was under the auspices of Mme Sarolta Kodály.
The Greek Kodály Conservatory's Choirs are celebrating with this performance the conservatory's 25th anniversary.
Together with them appear Choirs - members of the Hellenic Choir’s Association:
*Athens Choir Ensemble (Chorus master: Dimitris Karavelis)
*Members of Youth Choir of Glyfada’s Municipal Conservatory (Chorus master: Maria Bilika)
*Members of Youth Choir of Petroupoli’s Municipal Conservatory (Chorus master: Rodoula Hardali)
The choirs are taught by Eirini Patsea and conductor Michalis Patseas
(president of the International Kodály Society - IKS).

- Savvas Tsiligridis: Verbum IV (Commissioned by the Athens State Orchestra)
- Franz Liszt: Piano Concerto no. 2 (Stella Koukou, piano)
- Zoltán Kodály: Peacock variations
